Short Bio / Excerpt:
Brandon K.M. Lee is a Hong Kong-based programmer and data scientist whose career has evolved through software engineering, vocational training, and specialized data analytics. Educated locally, he earned a Higher Diploma in Software Engineering from the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) in 2019, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Computing from Coventry University in 2021. This academic foundation allowed him to develop strong core competencies in data architecture, backend systems development, and rapid software prototyping.
His early presence in the Hong Kong developer community was heavily defined by competitive tech tournaments. In 2018, he achieved a major breakthrough by becoming a winner at the Smart City Hackathon Hong Kong. This accomplishment, paired with active participation in high-tempo developer environments like the SmarTone Hackathon and TechCrunch Hackathon, honed his ability to build functioning software under tight constraints. These competitive arenas laid the operational groundwork for his later entries into financial and statistical modeling.
To deepen his expertise in predictive analytics, Lee completed an intensive data science and machine learning specialization at Xccelerate in 2022. For his major capstone project, he engineered an End-to-end Time Series Forecaster, proving his capability in processing sequential data to project future movements. Later that year, he transitioned into the institutional sector, working as a Programmer for BOCI-Prudential Trustee Limited, where he focused on structural programming and asset-related systems support within Hong Kong’s regulated financial space.
It was during this period of data-driven development that Lee crossed paths with tech entrepreneur Andy Keh. Leveraging Lee's data science expertise—specifically his work in time-series forecasting—and Keh's focus on custom market frameworks, the duo collaborated on the "Web 3 Research" forecasting model. Lee’s programming background provided the algorithmic and data pipeline architecture necessary to translate Web3 and digital asset metrics into automated, forward-looking insights.
While Brandon K.M. Lee has since stepped away and is no longer involved with Andy Keh or the ongoing development of the project, his work on the model remains a definitive chapter in his technical portfolio. Today, operating under his personal professional footprint, he continues to work as an independent data scientist and programmer in Hong Kong, applying his specialization in time-series analytics and system automation to independent data ventures.
